Terms and conditions

These terms are the agreement between Bzns Butlers, which operates Zad., and the restaurant business that uses Zad. products. By creating an account or using Zad. you accept them.

1. Who these terms are between

“Zad.”, “we” and “us” mean Bzns Butlers, which operates the Zad. brand, at The Greek Campus, Cairo, Egypt. “You” and “your” mean the business that subscribes to the service and the people it authorises to use it.

You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to enter into contracts on behalf of your business.

2. The service

Zad. provides restaurant software products, including Zad. Plus, Zad. Online, Zad. Offline, Zad. Agent and Zad. Pager. Depending on the products and setup you choose, the service may include point of sale, kitchen display, self-service kiosks, inventory, cash register control, reservations and delivery, payment processing and loyalty and marketing tools.

Features depend on the products and setup you choose. The features included are the ones set out in your quote or agreed in writing with us. We may add features, and we may change or withdraw features with at least 30 days' notice where the change materially reduces what you receive.

3. Your account

• You are responsible for keeping login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
• You are responsible for the accounts you create for your staff and for the permissions you grant them.
• Tell us immediately at help@bznsbutlers.com if you believe an account has been compromised.

4. Subscriptions, free trial and billing

• Your quote or written agreement sets out the products, the licence or subscription period, the number of branches, the prices and the billing currency.
• Prices exclude Egyptian VAT at 14%, which is shown on your invoice.
• A 14-day free trial is available for Zad. Plus and Zad. Online only. No payment details are needed to start it. When the trial ends, nothing is charged automatically: to continue, you choose a subscription and pay for it.
• Payments are taken through third-party payment providers.
• If a payment fails we will retry and notify you. If it remains unpaid for 14 days we may suspend the service.
• We may change prices with 30 days' notice. New prices do not apply part-way through a period you have already paid for.

5. Cancellation and suspension

You may cancel at any time from your account or by emailing us. Your service continues to the end of the period you have already paid for. Refunds are covered by our refund policy.

We may suspend or end your access if you do not pay, if you break these terms, or if your use puts the platform or other customers at risk. Where we can, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix it.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Zad. for anything unlawful, or to process payments for goods you are not licensed to sell.
• Resell, sublicense or white-label the platform without our written agreement.
• Copy, decompile or reverse engineer the software, or try to bypass feature gating, permissions or usage limits.
• Interfere with the platform's security or availability, or attempt to access another customer's data.
• Upload malware, or content that infringes someone else's rights.

7. Your data

Your menu, orders, sales, inventory, staff records and customer records belong to you. We process them to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy.

You can export your data at any time while your subscription is active.

You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect the customer data you put into Zad., and for meeting your own obligations to those customers.

8. Availability and support

Support is available daily, 10:00 AM–10:00 PM Cairo time, by phone and email.

Cloud-based Zad. products need an internet connection for full functionality. We are not responsible for outages caused by your internet, power, devices or third-party services.

9. Third-party services

Zad. connects to payment gateways, messaging providers, delivery platforms and hardware from other companies. Their own terms apply to their services, and we are not responsible for their acts, fees or outages.

10. Intellectual property

The Zad. platform, its software, design, name and logo belong to us. Your subscription gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while you are paid up. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of the software to you.

11. Liability

Zad. is provided on an “as is” basis to the extent permitted by law. Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in that period.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit, lost sales or lost goodwill. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under Egyptian law, including for fraud.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects your rights we will email the account contact at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use Zad. after that date means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Cairo. Before going to court, both sides agree to try to resolve the matter directly for 30 days.
